I have set up this website as a place to leave my thoughts on books that I’ve read recently. I am hoping that it will help me to read a bit more critically and to be able to articulate what it is I enjoy and did not enjoy in a book. I also hope to help you find new books that you love :)
The inventor of the World Wide Web gives an account of his early years, the development of his breakthrough invention, and his vision for what the future of the Web should look like.
In early 2025 I co-founded a book club along with some friends. It was during our regular meetings that I started to realise that I had either lost or never developed the ability to read critically. Don’t get me wrong, I can certainly not enjoy reading a particular book, but being able to articulate why is difficult. I find this happens too with non-fiction, that it is easy for me to get swept up in an author’s argument, without picking up on any of its shortcomings.
Let’s see how long it lasts. I don’t plan on reviewing every book, some will be longer reviews, some will be shorter. The goal now is to build a consistent habit on reflecting on what I’ve read.
